Nintendo Wii U Console

Nintendo Wii U Console

Nintendo is ready to change the gaming world with the Nintendo Wii U Console.  They announced their new console on June 7th, 2011 at the E3 Electronics Expo with their primary focus on the innovative controller that is set to change the video gaming world.  They also showed off the power of the new console itself that is capable of 1080P HD Graphics, internal flash memory that can be augmented with a USB or SD card.

Nintendo wisely focused on the most innovative portion of the Nintendo Wii U Console by showing all of the amazing features the controller provides gamers.  The actual controller would remind most of a hand held portable gaming console over an actual controller.  The controller allows gamers to play in a very unique way by giving them alternative looks to the games that they are playing on the television.  In addition to this gamers can take the game away from the TV and play directly on the controller itself.

The controller itself for the Nintendo Wii U Console has a 6.2 inch touchscreen, Wii type D pad, Wii style button layout, dual analog sticks and a motion sensor.  In addition to this the controller has both front and rear cameras with support for many of the high end names in gaming such as Battlefield 3, Batman Arkham City, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and Darksiders II.  Nintendo is looking to change the gaming world with the console by covering all demographics of gamers.

Nintendo has shown how serious they are with this system by having a strong 3rd party in addition to their top notch first party titles.  Nintendo showed preview footage of titles to include Legend of Zelda, Ninja Gaiden 3, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Lego City Stories and Tekken.  While Nintendo has yet to discuss a price they assured gamers it would be a focus of “value” and not a focus of price.  Nintendo has expected to release the Nintendo Wii U Console in 2012.
